王国英,博士,教授

1978-1982年山西农业大学学习,1982-1985年西北农业大学研究生,获硕士学位。毕业后留校工作。1989~1991年英国诺丁汉大学植物系学习,1991年获西北农业大学博士学位。1991-1993年中国农业大学博士后,1993-2006年中国农业大学“农业生物技术国家重点实验室”工作。期间,1999年和2004分别在美国Iowa州立大学、Kentucky大学做访问学者。曾任中国农业大学生物化学与分子生物学系教授,兼任系主任,生物学院学术委员会委员等职。2006年9月被聘为中国农科院作物科学研究所一级岗位杰出人才。

近年来,主要从事玉米转基因和功能基因组研究。在国内率先建立了玉米的基因枪转化体系,把Bt杀虫蛋白基因转入玉米,获得了可育的转基因植株。“玉米转化体系的建立及可育转基因植株的获得”1997年获国家教委科技进步二等奖。“九五”和“十五”期间,主持国家级项目8项,其中包括863重点项目和国家“转基因植物专项”重点项目各1项。主持研制的抗虫玉米已在吉林、山东、河北、北京等省市示范种植。近年来,在国内外杂志上发表论文100多篇,其中SCI收录论文36篇。2000年入选国家“百千万人才工程”第一、二层次人选, 2001年2月被科技部授予“先进个人”称号,2002年获得教育部“跨世纪优秀人才培养计划”资助。目前兼任生物化学与分子生物学会农业分会理事长,作物学会分子育种分会理事、北京市生物化学与分子生物学会常务理事等职。
