植物分子遗传学(基因定位、数量性状遗传作图、植物分子标记辅助育种、功能等位基因发掘和复杂农艺性状的功能基因组研究)及其在水稻育种、遗传和进化中的应用。国际动植物基因组年会植物分子育种分会的主持人,国际遗传学大会Invited Speaker。是美国科学促进协会会员,美国遗传学学会会员,美国作物科学学会会员。

四、主持研究项目经历

在国外曾主持过8个项目的研究,总研究经费额达300多万美元。曾设计、策划并主持了有11个国家和31研究院所参加的全球水稻分子育种计划,取得了重大的进展。目前主持的在研项目包括来自美国洛克菲勒基金的项目2项、国际农业研究中心挑战计划1项,总研究经费额达170多万美元。此外还主持或承担国家科技部973863和农业部948项目三项,总研究经费额达700万人民币

 

五、学术交流和人才培训经历

在国外工作期间,曾培养博士后12人,博士18人,硕士1人。现有博士研究生10名,硕士研究生1人。曾组织或参与联合国原子能机构、美国洛克菲勒基金和国际农业研究中心挑战计划为第三世界国家在农业生物技术领域的短训班10个以上,培训亚洲各国的农业研究人员200多人。应邀在国内外各种国际会议、学术机构上作学术报告100余次。现为Plant Breeding杂志的编委,分子植物育种杂志的副主编。
